On this day the students of grade 10th B conducted the morning assembly and National Unity Day (Ekatha Divas) was observed. The students spelled out the importance of the day for it was the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India Sardahar Vallabha Bhai Patel .Many slogans emphasizing the need of the unity among us were put forth by the students.

In His Address to the students the Bishop of Udupi called up on the students to imbibe the beautiful thought of APJ Abdul Kalam “Aim high up to the sky”. He told the students to work hard to achieve their goals which they have dreamt .The students need to decide their goals as they are in their teens and work hard persistently to achieve them. His Excellency gave the example of Thomas Alva Edison who did not give up even though he failed thousand times but worked hard to achieve success. To conclude he asked the children to think good about others always,to speak good about others always and to do good to others always .The principal of Don Bosco English Medium School Fr.Rolwyn Aranha welcomed and Vice Principal Mrs.Irine Cardoza proposed the vote of the thanks .The assembly ended with the National Anthem. Ms Sharon Corda compeered the programme.
